Our Story

Before there was a stage, there was a stitch. Before there was a venue, there was a vision. And behind both — always — there was Andi.

Andi Rosenstein grew up on Chicago's north side in the 1960s, the daughter of a bandleader who played the legendary rooms of Rush Street. She absorbed rhythm and atmosphere the way most kids absorb cartoons — through late nights, neon light, and the particular magic of a room that's truly alive. It shaped everything she would ever make.

In 1986, she walked into a surfwear rep's office in Chicago's Apparel Center with a résumé in hand. That rep was Steve Rosenstein. He never quite recovered. Two years later, in 1988, they launched Fitigues Clothing Company — and for the next two decades, Andi designed every single piece. Not a capsule collection. Not a collaboration. Every. Single. Garment. Her instinct for comfort, style, and clothing that feels lived-in and loved — pieces that get better over time — built Fitigues into something a Fortune 500 retailer couldn't resist. They acquired the brand in 2006.

But you can't buy what makes Fitigues Fitigues. That lives in Andi.
In 2007, Steve and Andi found a different kind of blank canvas: a crumbling 1920s warehouse in downtown Phoenix's emerging Warehouse District — once a produce hub by day, once a notorious neighborhood of speakeasies and vice by night. They called it The Duce, and in 2010 they opened its doors: 15,000 square feet of live music, organic cocktails, handmade food, and the kind of atmosphere you can only build when you've spent a lifetime paying attention to how things feel.
The same eye that designed your favorite Fitigues cargo is responsible for every corner of The Duce. The same hands that sourced fabric found The Black Orchid's original bar — the very bar that once served Harry Belafonte and Nat King Cole — and brought it to Phoenix, where it now anchors the Black Orchid Room.

Two brands. One obsession: creating things worth holding onto.

Fitigues. Get comfortable — we've been at this a while.

Andi's Bio

Andi Rosenstein was born in 1961 on the north side of Chicago and graduated from Maine East High School. She went on to attend the University of Illinois, where she made the Dean's List and earned an honors degree in social work.

In 1986, she met her future husband (yours truly), Steve Rosenstein, while he was working as a surfwear rep in Chicago's Apparel Center. She walked into my office with her résumé in hand-and I've spent nearly every breath of my life since building brands, a family, and a life with her.

In 1988, we created the Fitigues Clothing Company. Andi designed every garment for twenty years before the company was sold to a Fortune 500 retailer in 2006.

In 2007, we stumbled upon a 1920's warehouse in downtown Phoenix's emerging Warehouse District, and in 2010, we opened The Duce-a 15,000-square-foot playground where we host large-scale corporate events, concerts, and unforgettable experiences.

Andi's magic touch is everywhere...from every recipe and organic cocktail to the décor...but most of all in her unmatched style and attention to every detail.

They say whatever Andi touches turns to gold. I'm living proof. From the day she touched me, my life has been filled with gold.

About Bookie; written through the eyes of his beholder

From the day I was born my life has been blessed by generations of black labradors.

My dad’s legendary college dog Rocky is still revered nearly 40 years after his passing. “I truly believe Rock was the reason your mom agreed to our first date” he would tell us as kids.

Then came Ben & Jerry followed by Ozzie & Lou and now…Bookie.

The perfect blend of beauty, athleticism, intelligence & sweetness, Bookie is already a legend in his own time and embodies the spirit of our family; happy, high energy but relaxed, welcoming & loving.
